I am a retired law enforcement professional with 33 years of experience dedicated to community wellbeing and conflict resolution.

Specializing in community policing, crisis negotiation, and restorative justice, I’ve cultivated a career rooted in empathy, active listening, and innovative problem-solving. A lifelong learner, I hold a Social Sciences degree in Criminology from the University of Ottawa and a Conflict Resolution certification from the Justice Institute of BC. My expertise spans mediation, third-party intervention, and alternative dispute resolution. Post-retirement, I served as a bylaw officer and now volunteer as a caseworker with Restorative Justice Victoria while teaching verbal de-escalation. As a Associate Mediator with Mediate BC, I am passionate about fostering understanding, resolving disputes, and empowering communities with kindness and compassion.

In addition to my professional roles, I’ve pursued specialized training in areas such as restorative justice, trauma-informed practices, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. I believe in the importance of continual learning and applying these insights to create safer, more inclusive communities. My goal has always been to bridge gaps, foster understanding, and ensure that those I serve feel heard, respected, and supported.
